I would love to have the feature to see what the average spending of all Quicken users is per Category. So I could compare my spending with the national average spending for example Groceries, Clothing etc. This could really make me get a grasp on if I'm overspending compared to others or if I'm actually doing OK.

It sure would be beneficial to make this a working tool to include a little more detail to ones profile, like marital status, how many children, age of children. Having that data alone would give quite a good start to be able to compare my spending to that of comparables... I guess I just really love statistics..
What do you guys think .. would that be a functionality that would benefit others as well?

Mint does this. So I'm sure you'll be seeing this in the future.

I care much more to compare this to my historical averages. Doesn't really matter to me what other people spend, they may categorize things much differently than me.

For example my home improvement projects are usually billed as Home Repair, not Household. If someone else had a different theory than me about that, then the numbers would be useless.
