Bank of America account shows correct balance but no transactions

I had no problem setting up my BOA accounts and it brings in the correct account balances. However, when I go to look at my transactions, there are none listed even after I do a refresh.

Hi Lindarudin,

This may be a temporary server issue--if you're still experiencing this, I would suggest first deleting and re-adding your account, making sure that you follow the steps in this FAQ.

If you are still unable to see your transactions, then you should submit this issue through the support link at the top of the Quicken Online page--they will need to work on their side to correct the issue--

I find that the cleared transactions on BoA are about 1 to 2 days behind. To know my true balance, I open a window for BoA and one for Quicken and delete the cleared amounts in Quicken. Usually the next day the cleared amounts show up in Quicken. This is my biggest complaint about this product.

I use Quicken and BoA. This just recently happened to me and I have not been able to fix it. I deleted my account and added it back in and it still does the same thing. very disapointing. It was working and not now. I bet it is some sort of issue between Quicken and BoA

I've had the same problem (correct balance but no transactions) with my ING checking for a month now. all the support email responses just tell me to refresh and that it's a temporary issue. I used quicken online without any problems for several months and this started happening on march 2, 2009.

The same thing is happening to me with my Chase account. It worked fine for a few weeks and then just last week, transactions stopped uploading, but the balance is correct. I can see the transactions when I sign into Chase, but one of the reasons I like QuickenOnline was to see everything in one place and not have to sign in to several accounts. Is Quicken working on fixing this??

I'm having the same situation -- sees balance fine, but no transactions whatsoever. I don't know why Quicken has to be so problematic! I had problems using the stand-alone version as well; it wouldn't let me delete transactions or correct them, even when I knew it was in error. I gave up, hoped this would be more automatic. Guess it's still too good to be true.

My problem is I show transactions but the balance is zero. Again, it was working for a couple of weeks but not anymore. This is with Amex credit card.

I was somewhat "thrilled"" to have a free online program that I could track my spending...when I first uploaded, last night...this morning, I've had to refresh, go to my bank website, navigate, yadda yadda, refresh again and it finally gave me my bank balance, but no transactions....hmmmm, hopefully this is a temporary prob...but after reading even more posts, I'm wondering if i've made a mistake in even depending on this free program to keep me on track.. back to the paper register?

I am having a similar issue with my USAA account. The balance refreshes, but the transactions are taking at least 3 days before showing up. I enter my transactions in Upcoming Transactions, Quicken deducts those for my "RealBalance," but I can see in USAA they've already cleared, so Quicken is wrong. I guess I'll just have to delete these from Upcoming Transactions when I see from USAA they've cleared, but that doesn't give me what I want--one place to view my account info. This seems like a major issue that Quicken should have fixed by now since it's been so long since the issue was raised.

Does the desktop version have these problems?

I'm having the same problem with the credit card account issued to me by my credit union. And the checking account isn't always loading every transaction, either. I agree that it's a huge pain to keep flipping between the bank's website and Quicken Online to resolve these issues. Paper WOULD be easier. Please fix this, Quicken.

I have the same problem. My Citizens Bank accts show up with the correct balance but I don't see transactions until 3 days later.

I just downloaded Mercantile Bank and the exact same thing (it shows my account balance but not 1 transaction). Sounds like this is not a bank issue but either a security issue on our computers or more likely a problem with Quicken.

    I had the same problem and spent an hour on the phone with BoA this morning to resolve it. If you do not have a checking or savings account at BoA, then you can only download your most recent statement. If, however, you do have other accounts you just need to call them and have the agent set up your accounts so that you can download current transactions. The phone # to call is 800-933-6262 choice #5 Hope this helps!

    I have seen this happen with my bofa account when there are some transactions waiting to be cleared. Since temporary authorizations/pending transactions reflect on the account balance, Quicken shows you the correct balance but does not fetch the transactions. If possible, wait till the end of the statement cycle and hopefully your transactions would be imported.
