Wow! Over a year and a half with no response to this. The answer is still no. Quicken could quickly bury the competition, but they must feel there is no competition. There are business models that would let them so this, they are obviously scared (which is too bad).

I know there are at least two threads asking this same question. I'd like to 2nd the request for this functionality. I've spent a great deal of time setting up quicken to accurately reflect our finances. I don't want to replicate all of this work online. However, if I could simply import it, I'd definitely take advantage of quicken's online/mobile tools. Thus increasing the likelihood that I will buy future versions of quicken desktop.

Its up to them I guess.

I also would like the ability to import my existing Quicken data into Quicken Online. Quicken Online looks like a great tool, IF you're just starting to use Quicken. For those of us who have used the desktop version for years, it's major disadvantage - i.e., the inability to import data - causes it to lose its appeal quickly. Perhaps Quicken is counting on this, ensuring that those who have used the desktop version for years keep buying the yearly upgrades? In other words, without a business reason to offer this functionality, why would Quicken encourage loyal users to switch to a free service by allowing them to import existing data into it? But, the flip side is that they're alienating loyal users by not offering this functionality. My thinking is that they won't offer this import capability unless they start charging for the online version.

I concur! Quicken Online will do everything I want - but it's a pain because I can't import my .qdf data. I will NOT be upgrading my desktop Quicken software this year though. If I have to start over, I'll take my business (a loyal customer for over 12 years) somewhere else.

I, too, enjoy the simple interface and functionality of Quicken Online. I have used Quicken for many years, and in protest of the disregard for the loyal customer's interests, I will not be purchasing the 2010 "version". (Damn, and I hate MS Money, too!) But, I must vote with my wallet.
