How am I able to enter an "Overall" amount without Quicken automatically adjusting my Itemized amounts and vice versa. I go through and adjust my item amounts. When I adjust the Overall amount, all of the itemized amounts change. How can I prevent this?
You can't.
The Overall Goal amount is the total of all the other Goal amounts.
Changing one individual goal changes the total of all individual goals ... thus changing the Overall goal by that exact amount.
Changing the Overall Goal changes the amount of all individual goals proportionally ... keeping true the fact that the Overall Goal is the total of all other goals.
