I installed the program on an Apple G4 running OS X 10.3 on Virtual PC with Windows 2000. I know this is a dog of a setup, but the check register part of my Quicken Deluxe runs with no problem. QMEM takes forever (1/2 hour) to load and throws tons (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more) of instances of memapp.exe in my task manager. I did get the program to start once and loaded and expense as a trial, but this is awful. Any thoughts?

Hi Al,
I asked the software engineers and technical support folks for their advice. To get right to the point, I'm afraid these problems happen because you're running QMEM in an environment the program doesn't support. It was built to run on Windows, not on an Apple, even with Virtual PC. Virtual PC conflicts with some of the inner workings of QMEM.
Quicken is based on different technology and may work better than QMEM on Virtual PC. But Intuit doesn't advise or support running programs on operating systems other than those stated in the program system requirements -- neither for Quicken or QMEM.
Basically what I'm saying is that you need to run QMEM on a PC. I know that may not be much help if you don't have a PC, and I'm sorry I don't have an Apple version for you. If you'd like to return your copy of QMEM for a refund, please go to the Customer Care site and send a message with your order number or other identifying info.
I'm sorry.
