I entered a reminder that I had a doctors appointment. That appointment was yesterday and the program notified me yesterday morning when I turned the computer on that I had an appointment. However, it is still reminding me today that I had an appointment yesterday. Is this a bug, or do I have to remove the appointment from the calendar to keep the reminders from coming up each day?

You have to remove or move the reminder to keep it from coming up. This is by design and works well for me.

I usually change the reminder for an appointment to the description and date necessary for when I need to call to make the next appointment. When that reminder goes off, it usually takes a few days before I actually call, during which I want to reminder to continually bug me. After I make the appointment, I then change to date and description again.

When I have a one-time event for which I need a reminder, I then just delete it as soon as it is no longer necessary.

Anything that I want to keep track of in the calendar after the event passes, I put it into an expense entry. If it was a non-monetary type of event <like a platelet or blood donation>, I just enter $0 for the Amount Billed.
