Has anyone had any luck using QMEM on Microsoft Virtual PC (for Macs, preferably)? I tried to get it up and running on an older version (Connectix VPC 5 - Win2000 256MB RAM)and getting a cascading series of errors once the splash screen appears that don't allow me to open/run the program.
In the meantime, I'm running QMEM on my husband's PC without a problem, but you know us Mac folk -- we really get our jollies when we stay on our preferred platform.
While I wait to see if the new Intel-based Macs spur Intuit to create more Mac products, I'd be willing to give Microsoft (Microsoft!!!) more money if I had some evidence that upgrading to VPC7 would allow me to use QMEM on my Mac.
I have yet to see a successful installation of Quicken Medical Expense Manager (MEM) on the Macintosh platform using Virtual PC, or related virtual window applications.
Unfortunately, these configuarations do not meet our minimum hardware requirements and are unsupported.

Intuit Employee's using the forum can be identified by the name "Quicken " followed by a red Q. Unless a poster has the above requirements they are not an Intuit employee.
I have managed to get QMEM running on Windows XP SP2 on Virtual PC 7.02 on my Powerbook G4. I've also managed to duplicate the process on my Windows 2000 Virtual PC.
It was not an easy process, and it runs as slow as molasses, but if you want to run it on Virtual PC, it can be done.
You might be able to get it to work on an older version of VPC. I suggest doing the following:
1.) Run Windows Update and download .Net 1.1 with service pack updates.
2.) Start up QMEM.
3.) Immediately hit the "Type Cntrl-Alt-Delete" button to open Windows task manager.
4.) QMEM will try to open multiple instances of itself. (Why does it do this? Is it confused?) Shut these down using Windows Task Manager.
5.) Be patient. Give it some time. If QMEM's start screen doesn't pop up eventually, shut it down and start over.
6.) If you get QMEM to successfully start, cancel out of the start screens and update to version 2.0, which seems much more stable and easier to start up.
