I am just setting up the program, and put in a couple of bogus insurer names to see how things worked. But now I cannot find a way to delete an insurer. Any ideas?

Can't be done. QMEM does not have the ability to delete anything from any of the lists. Take a look at the "Lists" menu item to see all of the lists from which you cannot delete. This is a known "design feature" that has been commented upon numerous times in this forum, but this is probably the first time anyone mentioned insurers. I'm hoping the designers have rethought this "feature" for v3.

You have three options: 1. Abandon your current file and create a new one, 2. hide the insurers that you don't want to use and hope you'll remember to edit them when/if you get a new insurance provider instead of creating a new one from scratch, or 3. ignore the bogus insurers.

If you are really just getting set up, I'd recommend option 1, but make sure that you keep the file. If you ever have anything that you'd like to test, you can switch to this bogus file and try out different scenarios without putting your real data at risk; or set up scenarios about which you have a question and use the file with the bogus information from which to create screen shots.

If you are already unwilling to recreate the valid information in your file, then I'd suggest option 2 and keep your fingers crossed that QMEM v3 will allow deletions of unreferenced list items.

I mentioned option 3 only for completeness and in case your employer is like mine and has a change of at least one of their insurance providers every year.

And welcome.
