Hi..I don't use reminders and have "Show Reminders In Desktop Tool" unchecked. Yet "MemDesktopToolApp.exe" remains a process visible in Windows Task Manager, and it is consuming 14 megs of ram. (!)
What is the best way to prevent "MemDesktopToolApp.exe" from launching?

What is the best way to prevent
"MemDesktopToolApp.exe" from launching?
Run "msconfig", go to the Startup tab, scroll down to the entry called MemDesktopToolApp, and uncheck the check box next to it.
Note that this is not a recommendation to follow this procedure, nor is a comment on the consequences of doing so. I use the reminders, so I really don't know what side effects this may cause.

After reading this, I went out to "Windows Task Manager", clicked on the "Processes" tab, and then clicked on "Image Name" (to sort things in name order).
"MemDesktopToolApp.exe" was nowhere to be found ... which suggest to me that the downside of Tony's advice is negligible, if any.

THINK IT THRU! Have you explained your issue so that someone who knows nothing about you, or YOUR Quicken setup, can understand what your issue is? Are you using standard Quicken terminology, particularly with respect to FILES, ACCOUNTS and CATEGORIES?
