I was anticipating that I could link this with entries made in my overall Quicken accounts. Is this possible (eg, designate expenditures entered in Quicken to link to QMEM?

No - it was never designed to do this. I don't use Quicken, but QMEM measures medical expenses which don't always equate 1:1 with how Quicken tracks household expenditures. There was some extensive discussion on this topic a few years ago - not sure if those threads are still available for view.
